This Jersey beach is very popular with families because at low tide a cove forms. It is formed by the L-shaped jetty on the north side of the Shark River Inlet. The kids just love swimming in the low level pool and looking for small fish. This is a great place to spend the day with family and friends. There are rest room facilities. A short stroll up the boardwalk there are two great restaurants for lunch and a snack bar. Next door to the snack bar is a shop with all sorts of beach goods and clothing. Avon has several really lovely B&B’s. If traveling to Avon try to book by March for the Summer season. Keep this in mind for the Summer of 2013!
