If you want to sample the best of Santa Barbara County’s wineries, you don’t have to drive out to the local farms. Some wineries are creating their wines right downtown, while shops sell bottles (and cases) from the area’s leading producers. A case in point is the small, unpretentious Anacapa Street shop belonging to the Au Bon Climat winery. Here you can sample its chardonnay and pinot noir, as well as varieties from a handful of other sister wineries under the same ownership.
