Like Everything Else, Rodeos in Texas are BIG
While not an avid fan of watching cowboys lasso poor, unsuspecting cows, I still think going to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is something one might need to do at least once in their lives. Not only does the show contain all of the elements of the old rodeos, which can be uncomfortable to watch but, it is possible to eat deep fried cola, nosh on a gigantic turkey leg, catch a concert or two, and watch the wide variety of people that come out for these sorts of things (many sporting big cowboy hats and head-to-toe denim). Overall a pretty fun way to spend an afternoon in March.
