Closing Day at Aspen Highlands
One of the best parties in Aspen is the closing ski season party at Aspen Highlands. For the last day of skiing, locals and visitors dress up in colorful costumes and crazy 1980's-styled ski outfits to celebrate the last day of skiing in the Aspen area. The last skiers to descend the mountain are the brave, Mountain Patrol skiers. It's customary to give a standing ovation as they ski down the mountain for their last time that season. And then everyone dances, and gets drunk and stoned. It's a great party!
