The mountain nights in Aspen are unlike any other; the air is clean and crisp and the stars are amazingly bright. I would like to think it is because you are closer to the stars but I am sure it is just because there are fewer lights to obstruct your view. I like to lay a blanket on the ground and star gaze for hours. The vastness and clarity leaves you in awe and time just slips by without notice.

THE DRIVE UP TO ASPEN VIA INDEPENDENCE PASS IS A HAVE TO DRIVE. ONLY OPEN DURING CERTAIN WARMER MONTHS, IT'S A MUST SEE EXPERIENCE. This is the most scenic drive in Colorado in our opinion. When the Aspen trees are turning yellow, it's like nothing you've ever seen. A sea of golden hues alone the most beautiful mountain sides. And all along this road are incredible turn offs to some must do hikes. Check out the ice caves (Grottos caves) which leads to a waterfall that will make you want to sit and stay for a long while, just listening to the roar of the falling water.
