It is the dream of every Armenian to climb to the top of Mt. Ararat (5,138 m) located in Eastern Turkey. Known as the place where Noah's Ark landed, Ararat is home to a Kurdish population that controls the traffic and supports visits.
My trip to Ararat included 3 nights on the mountain covered by lava rocks, learning how to hike a glacier, and evenings full of song sitting in a tent.
By far one of the most incredible experiences of my life!
