There is no better place in Belgium, for observing the change of the season, than the Ardennes region. Right now a lot of the trees look like they are on fire. A gorgeous sight. Ardennes region is a very foresty area filled with chestnuts trees, maples and other trees that change colors in autumn. This spot can be seen on the way to Orval Abbey. It looks beautiful all the way there, passing small, quaint villages and forest.

Beautiful houses in Ardennes

Ardennes region is my absolute favorite place to visit in Belgium. It’s lush green forest is interrupted only by small, quaint villages and farms. The houses are gorgeous. Stone built, manicured lawns, flowers and decorations that make them so charming that all you want to do is stare. Little corner boulangeries lure you inside with their fresh bread smell, and when you get inside there is so much more. Cakes and sweets beautifully displayed make you want to never get out. Every time I visit I fall in love all over again and when I leave the region, a little more of me stays there. Don’t take my word for it though, go, explore and be enchanted.
