Archaeological Site of Volubilis | Walking Around Ancient Roman Ruins Under the North African Sun
One hours drive from Fez, these ancient Roman ruins at Volubilis were started in 3rd century BC. The location of the city in Northern Morocco is perfect. You will walk around lombards and the partially excavated city under the hot sun, gazing at olive trees, smelling sweet florals filling the air and listening about how people used to live at these thousand year old crumbling ruins. All of these are my favorite things.
