Antiquing in Mont Tremblant
Antique connoisseur husband and wife team run Le Coq Rouge Antiques, in Saint Jovite (part of Mont Tremblant proper). Fabienne Van Huffel is an interior designer and her husband Yvan Dewachter is more business minded—making them a perfect pair for the shop. The store has been a prime Laurentian antiquing spot for half a century. Housed in the former home of St-Jovite's first notary, browsing through the 18th- and 19th-century treasures here also gives you a chance to see a historic interior space as well. You'll be tempted to pick up some classic Quebec pine furniture, even if you do settle for something easier to put in your suitcase like a small 19th century ceramic figurine based on Quebec folk art.
