The sunset gives a golden hue to the cobblestones in Antigua. Earthquakes in the 1770s destroyed much of the city, and they are still evident with roofless churches in and around the old city square. With most buildings less than 3 stories high, the city has retain much of its old colonial charm and beauty in Latin America today.
