A painting on the side of a building as we bussed in from the airport read, "Goa is like a refrigerator because everyone here just chills out." And really, Goa is much more chill than any other place we visited in India. For example, you can go any speed you like on the roadway. Some people putter along, while others weave in and out of traffic on their way to the next beach town. People use their horn less and generally seem to accept the laid back mood that accompanies the thousands of drugged up Europeans that roam the streets. Even the beggars are less persistent here. Bottom line: if you haven't come to Goa to relax, you will stress yourself out.
