Combining an up-close demonstration of how Tahitian black pearls are cultivated with a scenic lagoon excursion (and even an opportunity to snorkel Raiatea’s crystal-clear waters), a trip to the Anapa Pearl Farm is as enjoyable as it is indulgent. The latter adjective particularly applies if you opt to buy a souvenir pearl in the farm’s small boutique. Not all are black; they also come in steely gray, peacock blue, pale green and deep purple.
