Baltimore is host to a very unique artistic culture, and none may be more different than what is on display at the American Visionary Art Museum. They define “Visionary Art” as works by people who are self-taught. This leads to some off-the-wall pieces that stretch the imaginations of artists and audience alike. The American Visionary Art Museum is a great location for both older and younger audiences. And while it is open year round, it is this patron’s recommendation to attempt to make it to the museum on clear-weather days as there are some outside exhibits to not be missed.
