Hike through Corral de Piedra
I am not a frequent hiker, but I have friends that once in a while take me on their expeditions. To this day, one of my favorites has to be the walk through Corral de Piedra, a short drive away from downtown Valle de Bravo. A lush forest of fir tress, small streams that crisscross through the meadows, views of the Nevado de Toluca volcano, and indigenous sacred sites. You can arrange an itinerary with Raíz, an ecotourism company that works in the region and throughout Mexico.
