Amalfi Coast

Between Sorrento and Salerno, the Amalfi Coast is a world-renowned stretch of coastline so beautiful it has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A drive along the hairpin turns of this breathtaking 60-kilometer (37-mile) stretch of Mediterranean Sea cliffs is rewarded with panoramic views of pastel-hued fishing villages, vineyards and secluded beaches. In photogenic Positano, terraces of terra-cotta houses tumble down the mountainside, while archaeological sites like Paestum offer glimpses of Amalfi’s ancient past.
