Incredibly Instagrammable Coffee at Alfred Melrose Place
The flagship Alfred Coffee + Kitchen opened on Melrose Place, the picturesque offshoot of fashion-famous Melrose Avenue, in 2013. Since, the café has expanded to include locations in ritzy locales Brentwood and Silverlake, as well as a Studio City location, a tea room in West Hollywood, and a mini alleyway location just minutes' from the original. Widely known for its relatable slogan, "But first, coffee," the upscale coffee shop is full of heavily Instagrammed spots, from the lettered decals to the modern and charming accent walls and artwork. There's always a photoshoot or two going on here, but that doesn't seem to bother the Macbook-armed freelancers who flock to the space for free Wi-Fi and matcha lattes on weekdays.

An “A” logo complete with antlers; custom mustache coffee sleeves; chalk art, potted hanging plants, baristas dressed in Rag & Bone, and regular celebrity sightings: Alfred Coffee on the haute block of Melrose Place is perhaps the trendiest (and most instagrammable) cafe in Los Angeles. Serving Stumptown coffee fresh from their roaster in downtown Los Angeles, Alfred has been fueling the fashionable with some of the country’s finest caffeine since 2013 and is keeping the buzz alive with new concept locations, each with its own hashtag-ready decor twist.
