Bird-Watching Natales Chile

Bird-watchers should bring their binoculars to the deck to see some species that are hard to spot anywhere else in the world including the distinguished Magellanic woodpecker. Both the males and the females of the species are large and bluish-black with white patches on the wings. More than 400 species of birds can be found in Chile, many of them in the Chilean fjords. They range from the tiny Patagonian Sierra finch, which measures only 14 centimeters (5.5 inches) to the enormous Andean condor, with a wingspan around 3.3 meters (11 feet).
