Memphis is known for barbecue and good Southern cooking, but a number of pizza restaurants have come on the scene recently to add to the mix.
Aldo’s was opened in the summer of 2012 by Aldo Dean, the man who brought Bardog Tavern to Downtown and Slider Inn to Midtown. Aldo brought a New York style to Memphis, and the restaurant—along the Main Street Mall near Peabody Place Avenue—has seen locals and visitors venture in for great pizza, pasta, and sandwiches. The bar is stocked with numerous local beers and features a patio next to the Main Street Trolley line.
The comfortable patio has quickly become one of the city's best for its location on Main where it's perfect for people watching.
