Alcazar Tapas Bar

Happy hour at Alcazar Tapas Bar
Walking into Alcazar immediately transports you; from a slightly seedy looking strip mall flanked by McDonald's and Taco Bell to a dimly-lit, intimate bar that feels more Sevilla than Santa Barbara.

Its incongruence is what makes this place charming- along side flickering candles, old cartoons stream from a projector onto the back wall, and risqué art hangs above the tables. The menu hints at Spanish influence, but mostly just serves up small plates that are big on flavor, complimented by their extensive cocktail menu.

Best of all, they have transformed the concept of happy hour, instead opting for a Happy Week; From Monday to Wednesday, come here from 6pm till close to enjoy patatas bravas for pennies (well, $4.) Mojitos and house wine are half price, along with a selection of their most popular dishes.

Local Tip:
Order the chocolate lava cake. You know anything that takes 20 minutes to prepare is going to be absurdly gooey and decadent.
