We wandered into the Faith district and we were rewarded with the gift of a chicken, stuffed with rice and cooked for two hours at Akdeniz Hatay Sofrasi.
Our meal started like any other, with cold mezes brought to the table to choose from. But then it was time for the real delight of the night. The chicken is brought to you in flames, and then the crust is cracked open by your server. The chicken in so moist it was carved with only a regular table knife and falls off the bone when you eat it. When it was all over, it was back to the basics with tea to finish our meal.
