Taka'eeba is one of Downtown Cairo's most famous coffee shops. This traditional ahwa is set on al-Nabrawi street outside Townhouse Gallery, and is popular with the artsy crowd. Chill by day, it gets rammed at night. While the shisha is mediocre at best (ditto the service), the atmosphere and the people-watching is second to none. Oh, and it's dirt cheap, even by Cairo standards.
