Ahwa Bustan squats a narrow alleyway abutting Cafe Riche, just a stone's throw from Downtown Cairo's Midan Talaat Harb. There's not much to the cafe: an alleyway, some plastic tables and chairs, and jovially pushy shisha guys (just get one already!), but the juices are decent, the sahlab is so thick you can stand a spoon up in it, and there are backgammon boards available. The whole set-up is the perfect escape from the chaotic street just outside — but try to avoid sitting on the Cafe Riche side, because you'll be dripped on by the AC from the buildings above.
