Is the captivating countryside of Umbria, Italy and agriturismo Casale dei Frontini, near Todi. I told Michele, one of the sons of the couple who own and run this true agriturismo, that I was a photographer and he gave me a room called Il Cielo - The Sky. So named because this was my view out the window. I could watch the sun come up in the mornings and see the hills turn golden at sunset. After a bit of rain this particular evening (which had driven me back into room), this rainbow appeared, no, there were actually 2! I set up my camera, opened my window and began to photograph. I stopped occasionally to take deep breaths and wipe the tears in my eyes. I have a love affair with Italy, and in particular the rural parts of Italy: the small towns, the open spaces, the farms, the vineyards and the people who live there. This moment sums up how I feel about such a fabulous country - the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
