Aetoma Hotel is a tastefully renovated 18th-century mansion, complete with high ceilings, old-world details, and jewel-colored fabrics. Located in the center of Nafplio, a charming seaside resort in Greece, the intimate hotel is a wonderful base to explore Nafplio itself as well as the surrounding archaeological sites of the Peloponnese (Mycenae, Corinth, etc.). A lovely place to spend a few nights.
Most amazing was the home-cooked breakfast—a staggering array of treats and embarrassment of riches—omelettes, bacon, croissants, Greek pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal, cake, etc, etc. You have to see it to believe it. (This photo only shows a few dishes.) It easily held us over until dinner!
