Adolpho Ducke Botanic Gardens

Avenida Uirapuru, s/n - Cidade de Deus, Manaus - AM, 69099-415, Brazil

You don’t have to travel far to experience a slice of the real Amazon when visiting Manaus. The 98-square-kilometer (38-square-mile) Adolpho Ducke ecological reserve includes the 486-hectare (1,200-acre) Botanic Gardens bordering the city. Named for an entomologist, botanist and ethnographer, the gardens invite guests to explore tropical plant life along several miles of trails. At the nursery, it is possible to get a closer look at the Amazon’s orchids, bromeliads and other plants.
