Stift Admont is so much more than a Benedictine monastery. Often called the eighth wonder of the world, Admont has a history of great artistic productivity, serves as an impressive exhibition space, and houses the largest monastery library in the world. It holds an incredible 70,000 volumes in its ornate library hall, which dazzles visitors with gold stucco and beautifully painted ceilings. The monastery is located in the very heart of Austria
and finds itself at an almost equal distance from Vienna, Salzburg and Graz.
