Luxurious Hill Country Lodging
Roughly 400 bed and breakfasts are speckled in and around Fredericksburg, the historic German town of less than 11,000 that draws in visitors with an attractive package of ever-expanding wineries, unique shops, historic sights and an emerging culinary scene. But romantic retreats like Absolute Charm's Paradise Loft stands out from the crowd––and for good reason. On our most recent mini-getaway to this Hill Country haven, we were in awe of what our eyes met once we unlocked the door to this 1,000-square-foot loft perched above Main Street's shops and restaurants: a king size chestnut four poster canopy bed draped in silk and velvet, chandeliers dangling from the ceiling, an expansive whirlpool tub and gas fireplace, an oversized double-head shower and a wooden balcony hovering above the action buzzing below. We were thankful we had spent the day taking in Fredericksburg's sights and sipping wine at a few of its up-and-coming wineries because once we entered the room, we didn't want to leave.
