Consistently Fine French Fare
In the ever-fluid world of Siem Reap
dining, Abacus is a survivor. Since opening in 2004 it has established itself as one of the finest and most consistent French restaurants in Cambodia—a field in which there is more competition than you might think. A change of location to a venue slightly away from the center of town might have hampered other ventures, but Abacus has prospered with the change of scene. It now has a classy-but-casual feel, and the menu incorporates international influences while staying true to the owner’s Gallic roots (standout dishes include a perfectly executed duck confit). The extensive wine list adds to the overall joie de vivre.
