Exploring the wonderful Aare Gorge in Switzerland
Aare Gorge in Hasli Valley of Bernese Oberland is a wonderful gorge carved out by the Aare River. The 1400 meters long gorge set in a picturesque location is surrounded by a plenitude of lush greens and limestone cliffs. Aare gorge can be reached from Interlaken Ost by a half an hour train ride. Aare Gorge has two entrances, both the entrances have ticket counters, small restaurants, and souvenir shops and are served by trains. The gorge can be accessed through a wheelchair accessible wooden walkway which winds through the gorge with intermittent tunnels which makes it safe for strollers. The tunnel and the cliff walls are beautifully illuminated with colorful lights.
