The locavore drink scene in Scottsdale extends to state-grown wines. In fact, there’s a growing collective of almost 100 vineyards and winemakers in Arizona who are passionate about cultivating their state’s terroir—and they’re reviving a long tradition. Before Prohibition, there were more grapes in the ground in Arizona than in California, but that movement started earlier and ended later in Arizona. Get a taste of how winemakers are making up for lost time by spending a few hours at the LDV Winery tasting room (and its gorgeous patio) in downtown Scottsdale.
