A Decaying Gem
While biking along the lakefront trail on a quiet Sunday morning I pulled off for a snack and found this beautiful work of architecture. The building is called the Waveland Clock Tower and was originally built as a club house for the nearby golf corse. The north portion of the clock tower is still being used by the the golf course as a pro shop. However, the south portion of the place is vacant and starting to fall into disrepair. If you need a stop along the path look for the clock tower and relax in the quietness surrounding it.
