You'll find beer, cocktails, and Calvados, too.

In recent years, downtown Napa’s Main Street has sprouted an alternative drinking scene to the region’s multitude of tasting rooms. You can sample sour beers at Cadet Wine + Beer, drink 38-year-old Calvados at 1313 Main, and, most notably, choose from Ninebark’s menu of exceptional cocktails. Our current favorite is the bracing and refreshing Panache Indochine, which gets its punch from citrus beer.

Until you enjoy the real thing, try it at home: Mix 3 ounces of Ballast Point Sculpin grapefruit IPA with 1.5 ounces of lemon juice, 3/4 ounce of Bombay Sapphire East gin, and 1/2 ounce of ginger-and-lemongrass syrup. Pour over crushed ice. Garnish with star anise and lime leaf. Then toast to a great time.
