Luckyrice Grand Feast
Luckyrice Grand Feast is back for the seventh year. This time the Asian epicurean festival is hosted by Paul Qui, a Top Chef champion and James Beard Award winner, who currently helms the Faena hotel’s Pao restaurant. The festival, which will take place at the Raleigh Hotel Pool and Oasis, will feature bites and drinks from restaurants, including Talde, Katsuya, Hakkasan, the Regent Cocktail Club, and 27 Restaurant.

November 12 | Music and food festival
Chipotle Cultivate Food, Ideas & Music Festival
Chipotle is hosting a free all-day festival of food and music in Bayfront Park on Saturday. Headlined by Capital Cities and St. Lucia, the festival will also include demonstrations by notable chefs such as Amanda Freitag, Richard Blais, Michael Schwartz, and Michelle Bernstein. There will be chef demos (including one on how Chipotle makes its famous guacamole), educational films and talks on such topics as factory- versus farm-raised livestock, plenty of craft beer on tap, and food provided by Chipotle (duh).

Miami Book Fair
Miami Dade College’s Miami Book Fair is one of the largest literary events in the nation. Miamians take a break from the beach to hit the books for a week of author events, learning activities, social gatherings, and writing workshops, all culminating in the Street Fair on November 18–20. Some of the many speakers during the week include Trevor Noah, James Carville, Alan Cumming, Geraldine Brooks, and Bernie Sanders.

November 14 - 19 | Film festival
Miami Short Film Festival
The Miami Short Film Festival features films of 20 minutes or less at cinemas around the city. Each event includes between six and 14 movies focused on a different theme or genre, including black cinema, queer films, and workplace settings. There will also be two events focused on showcasing Miami filmmakers—both professional and student.
