An Amazing Journey Around the World

How TCS World Travel’s private jet expedition won the AFAR 2018 Travelers’ Choice Award for “Best Over-the-Top Experience”

An Amazing Journey Around the World

It is hard to impress travelers today. The bar to create an unforgettable, unique experience is moved higher each year, as hotels and tour operators, cruise lines and airlines, engage in an endless competition. At the same time, travelers are seeking, along with the latest luxuries and flawless service, authentic insights on destinations and opportunities to get to know the heart and soul of distant lands.

Fulfilling these different demands—for luxury, access, and authenticity—to create a once-in-a-lifetime trip is no easy feat. TCS World Travel’s Around the World private jet expedition has pulled it off, and its win in the AFAR 2018 Travelers’ Choice Awards in the “Best Over-the-Top Experience” category makes it official. Here we look up the ingredients that add up to a recipe for an unforgettable trip around the globe.

Classic Destinations
While circumnavigating the globe aboard a custom-configured private jet, travelers visit nine of the world’s iconic sites in 24 days. From Orlando, travelers head to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and historic Cusco in Peru, and then to Easter Island with its famous moai, looking out over the sea. After a couple of days in the Polynesian paradise of Samoa, it’s on to explore Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. At Angkor Wat, in Cambodia, travelers can wander among the complex’s temples, and then fly on to what is possibly the world’s most famous building, and its most impressive monument to love, the Taj Mahal in Agra. Continuing westwards, a tour of the Lost City of Petra in Jordan is followed by the colorful whirlwind of Marrakesh which makes for a memorable finale.

New Experiences
TCS World Travel’s Around the World trip is all about unique, immersive experiences. Whether it’s traveling aboard a private train to Machu Picchu, watching wildlife and the sunrise from a hot-air balloon over the Serengeti, dining among the ruins of Angkor Wat, or joining a sword dance at Petra, there are moments of awe and discovery every day of the expedition. You’ll also enjoy opportunities to meet a variety of fascinating people, like learning about the history of Easter Island from a former governor. Seamless Travel
Traveling by private jet means that you fly straight to many destinations, including places hard to reach by commercial air, reducing overall travel time and maximizing your time for exploring. (If you tried to replicate this same itinerary using commercial flights, it would take 10 extra days and 11 additional flights, including six overnight ones. You would also spend 74 additional hours waiting at airports.)

The TCS World Travel private Boeing 757 has been custom configured with business class seating for just 80 travelers. On board, an executive chef prepares meals sourced from local ingredients and highly trained staff take care of every need, while a physician travels with the group for peace of mind. There are no overnight flights on the jet. The best available hotels are carefully selected for amenities, service, authenticity, and proximity to the sights. Guests get to spend nights in a restored colonial convent, an opulent palace, a luxury hotel deep in the bush, and a shimmering seaside resort.

Zero Hassles
TCS World Travel’s itinerary sets itself apart by what it includes, but also by what it doesn’t: No unexpected surprises, cancelled flights, or hours of planning and preparations. This expedition is structured to make every day about the travel experience, with none of the travel hassles. Travelers can utterly relax and leave the logistics to the TCS World Travel staff who will take care of arrangements for hotels, transportation, meals, and all the special private experiences. The more mundane details are, of course, also taken care of by the company: your luggage is handled, documents such as landing cards and customs forms are filled out for you, and airport transfers are ready and waiting when you land. Travelers are even given some “walking around money” in the local currency at each stop, bottled water, and even stamped postcards… all that you have to do is write some greetings from the road to friends back home.
