Among the 50-odd islands and cays that make up the British Virgin Islands, Anegada is the outlier. Fifteen miles north of Tortola, Anegada measures a trim 10 miles long by 2½ miles wide. The name means “flooded” in Spanish, but Anegada—haloed by white sand and protected by the immense Horseshoe Reef—emerged from the calamitous 2017 Atlantic hurricane season largely unscathed.

To make that point, the BVI Tourist Board is running a beachy little promotion for spontaneous travelers: Book a four-night stay at one of four Anegada properties—the Anegada Beach Club, Four Diamonds Park Villas, Anegada Reef Hotel, or the Four Diamonds Park Villas—and pay for three nights. To sweeten the deal, the Board will throw in a $50 credit per person to cover round-trip transfers by ferry or air from Tortola or Virgin Gorda.

The four-for-three deal only runs through February 28, and it’s good just for stays through April 15; use promo code ANGW18 when you book.
