I recently traveled to Oaxaca with the chef Alex Stupak and his wife Lauren Resler of the Empellon restaurants of New York City. I soon discovered that traveling to a region with a chef is the best way to discover its hidden gem restaurants, bars, and other culinary (and drinking!) adventures. I'm already dreaming of my return trip and can still taste the tejate on my lips.
