Do it. And don't think twice.

Highly recommend both Niyama and Naladhu, but Naladhu really did go the extra mile to make it one of the nicest, most luxurious places that I've ever stayed.

We did three nights at each for a total of a week, and then a week in Sri Lanka which was a nice change of pace as I think anything more than a week in the Maldives and you would just turn to mush from too much relaxation, if there is such a thing.

It's like nowhere else on earth and I can't think of anywhere more perfect to celebrate a honeymoon! It is the ultimate luxurious island getaway, no matter how much you end up spending. The prettiest, clearest bright blue water, soft sand beaches and pure R&R. My husband and I stayed at Vilu Reef and I would go back in a heartbeat (as soon as I win the lottery!). Some people choose to make it active -- there were water sports and other activities on offer, but I was content so lay in the sand, lay on my private deck or float in that perfect water. The staff were unbelievably friendly, teaching me words in multiple languages, the food was excellent the whole time, cocktails and "crab racing" always fun. And the spa was pure heaven! My best memories is of sitting in a warm tub strewn with petals, after being rubbed with coconut and oil and staring up at the open sky and hearing birds. Ahhhhh!

We stayed for 11 days, and could have stayed much longer. Never felt too long or too much. How can you get tired of paradise?

The whole trip feels like a dream and I'm just jealous that it's all in front of you. Do it! And enjoy it. You'll never forget it. It's paradise.
