Anywhere! But in my opinion stay away from places south of Greater Portland. Go to the city for at least a couple days, stay at the Regency or the Hilton Garden Inn right on the waterfront. Then work your way north along the midcoast to Rockland or Camden, or alternatively just drive straight up to Acadia. No explanation needed there. If you're into fishing or backpacking, head inland to Baxter. The possibilities are pretty much endless, especially during the summer.
