My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Panama in 2006. It was under $100 at that time and their pool was extraordinary. Plenty of things to do close by. Look up a guy named Jimmy and he will take you on a tour of the city. Our boys who were 10 and 14 at the time loved it.

I traveled with another adult but I agree La Estancia is a good one. I really enjoyed my stay there.
