Definitely the best place to esta near Puerto Lopez is "El delfin Magico" just 15 min away from Puerto Lopez, in a small village of fishermans named Salango.

Diving in Isla de La PLata is one the best activities in the area.

Lots of things to do, especially in December, Quito days, Christmas, New YEar,,, crazy! I have two rentals and my husband Ken tours our guests who are interested in culture. We have great reviews at the internet sites where we advertise.

I would imagine that you have probably counted out Galapagos. However, if that is an option, then we would happily help you plan a visit. I would encourage you, if you do, to plan at least 5 nights, preferably 7 to take in the topline Galapagos essentials.
