You're going at a great time. There are plenty of festivals but be sure to check the dates.There's an awesome Tahitian dance festival at the beginning of the month, a sandcastle festival (but not near Haena), and the Kauai County Farm Bureau fair in Lihue. The island is so accessible, it's worth checking these out.
