Does anybody have any recommendations for local based reputable tour companies in Bhutan?

I used Wind Horse tours and they were good but honestly theallow all priced the same and very regulated so I think any are fine. You will like Bhutan, my wife, kids and I, loved it. Joe

Guides Of Bhutan are an excellent outfit with top guides and a British partner - they feature in this month's Outside and offer all the regular stuff plus biking, rafting, archery and trekking.
We were just there a few months ago and used this company: http://bhutannamdruk.com/. It's owned and run by a man named Thinley, who is very friendly and outgoing. He is very keen on hiking/trekking and will customize any itinerary for you.
speak with us Druk Asia, representative of Druk Air in Singapore with a base operation in Bhutan
I recommend Tobgay, independent guide, lives in Paro, works with different agencies. He is very good and funny. His email: email@example.com
I was there in Oct/Nov, lead group for 13 days, second time in Bhutan, amazing place!

We will travel to Bhutan and Myanmar in mid April and are keen for more cultural experiences, rather the typical "tourist attractions." And cellphone/wireless connections appear slim to none - any experiences with communication in either country will be appreciated! Thanks!
