After spending two weeks traveling this December and spending loads of rupees, we will only have 7 days to take in all the wonders of Thailand. Unfortunately, because we are going on a vacation prior, money is an object. We will be landing in Bangkok and the original plan was to head south and spend Christmas relaxing on the beach in Krabi--canoeing, snorkeling, etc. However, after doing more research we now realize Thailand is more than just beautiful beaches. Now, because of the time and money constraints, we will have to choose between the beautiful southern beaches or the northern jungles.
We are two guys in our twenties, athletic and adventurous, who love nature and are not much for partying. We are looking to experience the culture, beauty, religion, and amazing food of this great country--on a backpacker's budget (though we can splurge for the right occasion). But most importantly, we want to get the most of our time in Thailand, as I have yet to vacation to the same country twice!

I'm sorry I don't have any info for Thailand other than Bangkok, as I didn't' get out of the city! There's tons to do there. The largest outdoor market in the world is run on Sundays. There are many many temples, the royal palace, Wat Po, wonderful, clean and tasty street food, and excellent inexpensive public water taxis to take you around the city, while cooling you off. There are many hotel options from high high end (probably not your desire here.) to bed and breakfasts. I stayed with a friend, so I'm no help there either ;-( My friends told me Chaing Mai, in the northern jungles, was a do not miss.Enjoy!
I can't wait to go back and see more myself.
