Japanese eyeglass shops have the low prices and interesting designs of American upstart Warby Parker. But here you can try them on in the shop and have them fitted with your prescription in half an hour. So don't forget your prescription if you're traveling to Tokyo and are sick of boring, overpriced frames in the US.
Zoff has locations in shopping malls all over Tokyo. To find the one near Yokohama Station, leave the west exit and follow the sidewalk to the right until you see More's City. You can also follow the big green signs in the train station to Tokyu Hands. They're in the same building. Zoff is on the third floor.
I've gotten three pairs, including these prescription sunglasses, and they've all been around $100 per pair for frames, lenses and a case.
