Despite Ankara being geographically located in Asia, true "Asian" cuisine that most of us know and love is very difficult to find here. Uyghur people are of Turkic ancestry and reside mostly in Eastern and Central Asia, hence why their food is similar to the Chinese that most Westerners are accustomed to. Many of the dishes are saturated in ginger and garlic infused oil, which makes them so wonderfully delicious. I typically have the hot and sour soup with cashew chicken as both are incredibly addicting, however I try to branch out every time I go. The fish is spicy and the eggplant is perfectly roasted.
The staff is incredibly friendly and greet us with bright smiles every time we visit. Though the restaurant is usually packed, the service is quick and the tea is endless.
