This charming little pub's name comes from the bells that originally hung at St. Bartholomew's Church next door. I could definitely feel the history behind this 700 year old building which has always served as an eating and ale house.
I highly recommend the Homemade Beefburger which comes topped with delicious bacon. If you decide to go, ask to sit by the gigantic fireplace for ultimate coziness. After your meal make sure to stroll through St. Bartholomew's graveyard which is in front of the pub for an enchanting and eerie experience.
This would make for a great stop if you are flying out of Gatwick Airport.
