Xiamen University's three campuses, nestled between green hills and blue sea, are known as some of the most beautiful in China. Many of the University's structures were built in the 1930's and draw influences from Victoria-era and traditional Chinese architecture, and the beautiful grounds are currently dotted with subtropical plants.

Visitors should see the Library on Furong Lake and be sure to leave through the Baicheng Gate, leading to a white sand beach.
