Whale-Watching
Thousands of humpback, orca, gray and minke whales migrate through the waters surrounding Vancouver from March to October. Although you can occasionally spot these giant creatures off the coast, the best way to view them is to book a cruise or a kayak, Zodiac-boat or seaplane excursion. Some expeditions venture as far out as the Gulf and San Juan Islands. Bring your binoculars, and scan the horizon for sea lions, otters, dolphins and seabirds, too.
