Westbrook Brewing Company wasn't the first craft brewery to come out Charleston, but has had quick success, already distributing throughout the Southeast. Husband and wife duo Edward and Morgan Westbrook started the brewery in 2010.
Their IPA and White Thai, both sold in cans, are the signature styles and are available year round. Westbrook has even more that are rotational or seasonal. The Weisse Weisse Baby is a German-style wheat beer with a sour kick. The Udderly Stout is, you guessed it, a milk stout.
The brewery's tasting room is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 4-7 pm and on Saturdays from 12-4 pm. You can belly up to the oblong bar for 4 samples of their dozens of beers for only $4. You can also fill up your growler or grab some of their swag. Westbrook also runs tours every 30 or so minutes to see what goes on behind the scenes, namely canning and special brewing projects.
