The English translation of the local name for Victoria Falls (Mosi-oa-Tunya) is, "The Smoke that Thunders." It's easy to understand, once you've witnessed the misty torrent of water cascading over these dramatic cataracts. With a width of 5,600 feet and a height of over 350 feet, they are one-and-a half times as wide and twice as high as the Niagara Falls.
On our small group tour encompassing the flora and fauna of Zimbabwe, Botswana & South Africa, you’ll experience these awe-inspiring falls, one of the greatest natural wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its astounding vistas and “roaring thunder.” A guided tour begins with a walking safari through the exquisite rain forest where you will view the falls and a wide variety of wildlife, colorful birds and plants.
